Sarasota National Approves Fry Straka Renovation Master Plan

Excerpt: “Members of Sarasota National in Venice, Florida, have approved a comprehensive renovation master plan designed by Fry/Straka Global Golf Course Design. The multi-million-dollar project aims to enhance playability, sustainability, and the natural beauty of the Audubon International Certified Signature Sanctuary. Renovations include rebuilding all greens to USGA specifications, re-grassing all fairways, roughs, and tee boxes, and installing a new state-of-the-art irrigation system. Bunkers will be reshaped and rebuilt, and the course will measure 7,406 yards from the tips, playing to a par of 72. Additionally, the practice facility will be expanded to include a 47,000-square-foot putting complex and a 1.75-acre short game area. Renovation work is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2026.”
